Thursday, July 16 10am-11:30am Thursday, July 16 11:30am-1pm In Our Own Skin Alexandros Why do we fear our birthday suits? We humans are the only species that knows body shame. That shame hurts us terribly. Yet the body is a beautiful divine gift. Its ability to experience sensual pleasure often leads to spiritual transcendence. This clothing-optional, compassionate, frank and non-judgmental workshop will discuss the body as a physical, aesthetic, sexual and spiritual vehicle. During the second half of the workshop, participants will be invited to talk about their relationships with their clothed and nude bodies in a body-conflicted society. Come celebrate all aspects of the body and reclaim your right to feel good in your own skin. The Only Four Knots You’ll ever need to know XtraSpecial Tom The Boys Scouts of America, really knows how to turn out the Kinksters. The two things they teach the best are how to make Fires and how to tie Knots!!! As an Eagle Scout, Tom learned how to do both at a very young age. This class is for the rank novices. Please bring a 6 foot length of rope to this class. Instructor will have extra lengths to loan as well. This is a hands-on interactive class that will teach you the only 4 knots that you’ll ever need to know! With this 4 basic knots you can do simple to complex bondage and well as have basic ropes skills in case of an emergency. Everybody should at least know how to tie these 4 knots! Basic rope safety is also covered. Thursday, July 15 2:30pm-4pm Flogging 101 Whittney Flogging is a beautiful art. Two people dancing together on the tips of a lash as they fly through the cosmos together. A good flogging can be a beautiful expression of love and respect between people. It can also be an unmitigated disaster ending in a hospital trip. As with many SM toys, some technical knowledge and skill is necessary before the tool can be used safely and effectively. Fortunately for all of us, these skills are easy and fun to learn. The technical stuff is mostly common sense. If you are about to buy or recently bought your first flogger, here’s a chance to see some different type of floggers, learn about safety guidelines for flogging, and get answers to your questions about this beautiful intimate art. Knowing yourself and what you need, being able to express that and how to get and stay in a Leather family are just the first steps to success. This class goes over negotiation, how to lead a leather family, common pitfalls, jealousy, living conditions, paying bills, divided service, balance, growth, and many other key parts to help create, grow, and keep your leather family. Cell Popping Goddess Ann Do you like pain? Do you like inflicting pain? Does the smell of burning flesh excite you? If you answered yes to any of these questions then you should join Goddess Ann and her toy as they demonstrate cell popping. Cell popping, also referred to as micro-branding or devil’s fire, is the art of burning designs on a person’s skin. These designs are temporary for a few people, but for most tend to be long-lasting and can even be permanent. Goddess Ann will discuss the various types of instruments that can be used, how to use them safely and then finish with a demo of the technique she prefers to use to produce these brands. Class time permitting, participants will be able to assist in making a design or even receive a small one themselves. Come bring your questions & your ideas to share with the group. Friday July 16 11:30am-1pm Being a Service Submissive Ty This workshop will address the groundwork for service submission. What does being a Service Submissive mean? What draws submissives to service? What does being a service submissive include? Is it just table setting, personal service, and domestic duties? Does the submissive expect something for their service to their Dominant? Community service; what does the submissive get out of it? What do the Dominants get out of it? Saturday July 17 4pm-6:00pm Grappling: a Chocolate Delight/Pudding Wrestling Master Pam Resistance play has long been a favorite scene among D/S players. Wrestling allows full on resistance for both the top and bottom. With the right negotiation wrestling can have its rewards for both top and bottom – set it up right and you will always win! This class will teach hands on resistance play in chocolate pudding by a five year undefeated wrestler. Intro Poi Whittney Poi is an ancient skill game which has been used for centuries to teach coordination, balance and fluid movement. The poi (weighted balls or bags on the end of ropes) are spun around your body as you dance within the circles the poi make in space. This art from is easy to learn and fun to practice. Poi spinning is also the foundation for a form of fire play called Fire Spinning. This class will present the basic tools and skills of poi spinning and discuss the skills needed to safely spin fire. Every skill begins with the first practice. The great thing about poi is that spinning is fun and practice is a joy. In poi basics we introduce and practice the basic techniques to spinning poi well. We will do some warm up stretching to get your body ready to spin. Once warmed up, we begin working with the basics of planes (the area defined by a spinning poi) and moving within the planes made by your poi. We start with planes and come back to plane exercise all the time because managing your planes is one of the most important skills to poi spinning. By the end of this class, students will know how to hold their poi safely and how to practice the basic skills of planes and turns. | |
